Trainee (m/f/d)
6 months, approx. 8 hours / week
Your tasks are
• Preparation/follow-up and supervision of art classes for children + teenagers
• Event organisation, accompanying children’s birthday parties, daycare and school groups and other offers
• Support with public relations and fundraising (editing, graphics, social media, press work)

The freiraum traineeship is often used by prospective students who work on their application portfolios in a focussed manner at freiraum and refinance their portfolio/art course via the traineeship.

Instructor for art classes for children + teenagers (m/f/d)
permanent, approx. 10 hours / week
At freiraum you will independently lead your own art classes as part of the freiraum concept. You will accompany children and young people between the ages of 3 and 18 as they work freely and creatively in mixed groups. You offer the young participants inspiration and observe and support their individual creative process. In your courses, you offer various two- and three-dimensional artistic techniques and materials (painting, graphics, printing, ceramics, plaster, wood, etc.).
Your tasks are
• Management of the courses, incl. preparation/follow-up work
• Contributing your own artistic ideas
• Organising rooms and materials
• Managing the trainees who support you and your course
• Conception, planning and implementation of the holiday workshops, if applicable
You bring with you
• Art or art education degree, at least 5 semesters, degree preferred
• Enthusiasm for children
• Willingness to communicate with children and parents, initiative and personal responsibility, organisational talent and of course: creativity
• Knowledge of German and English
