Create your photography portfolio with a professional photographer.
In Germany, there are numerous degree programmes in the fields of photography, photo design and communication design – at both state and private universities. The opportunities are wide-ranging, but the requirements are high.

Whether it’s an application portfolio, a set assignment or an entrance exam: the path to securing a place at university is challenging. This is exactly where we support you with our experience, personalised guidance and a clear strategy. Over 90% of participants who have attended a portfolio course at the freiraum. art school in recent years have successfully secured a place at university.

Working closely with you, Manuel will develop a personalised plan that combines your personal themes, strengths and creative interests with the requirements of the right university. During the portfolio course, Manuel will teach you the fundamentals, methods and techniques needed to develop your ideas convincingly. Step by step, you’ll create a compelling portfolio that showcases your artistic profile as a photographer or communication designer. You’ll also receive targeted preparation for admission interviews and colloquia.

Throughout the entire photo.freiraum portfolio class, Manuel will support you with motivation, inspiration and constructive feedback. Equally valuable is the exchange with other participants – it’s not uncommon for creative networks and friendships to blossom.

During the portfolio classes, freiraum taught me that good art takes time. Every beginning is difficult. Getting help and being inspired by others can lead to new friends. The development that I was able to experience together with others ultimately brought me to my goal. I am very grateful for that.
